Bruce Lee Museum: Architecture as Cinema (Competition Entry)

In converting Bruce Lee's residence to a museum, this proposal wraps an addition around it containing exhibition spaces, a library, and a screening room in a sequence that oscillates between the reality of his home life and the fantasy of his filmed one. By confining the new structure to the periphery, an urban plaza is created for martial arts, outdoor exhibitions and festivals and allows the house to be opened up to the surrounding urban fabric.
